The training of mechanical engineers for agricultural production began on September 1, 1966.
Under the guidance of leading faculty members, students carry out diploma projects on current topics. Students of the faculty undergo practical training at the leading agricultural enterprises of Ukraine, as well as Poland, Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries.
In parallel with their academic work, students of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology can carry out research work under the guidance of scientists of the faculty. The main directions of scientific activity of the faculty scientists are development of scientific and methodical base of improvement of technical means, technological processes of production of agricultural products; formation of information culture of engineers of agricultural production in modern conditions; research of efficiency of transportations, transport safety, ecological safety; improvement of economic and service parameters in road transport.
If desired, students, in parallel with the basic training, can undergo military training and receive the military rank of reserve officer of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
At the service of our students - a library, gyms and playgrounds, comfortable dormitories, student canteen. Free Wi-Fi is available in all classrooms. During their studies, students have the opportunity not only to acquire professional knowledge, but also to enrich themselves spiritually, to raise their personal cultural level. They take an active part in amateur art. Every student of the faculty who wants to develop his/her sports skills has the opportunity to do so by doing sports. Every year, the best students take part in regional, All-Ukrainian competitions in football, volleyball, athletics, weightlifting, chess and checkers.
There are 6 departments on the faculty:
- Department of Agricultural Engineering and Systems Engineering;
- Department of Technical Service and General Technical Subjects;
- Department of Physical Education;
- Department of Transport Technologies and Means of Agro-Industrial Complex;
- Department of Tractors, Automobiles and Energy Vehicles;
- Department of Food Production Technologies and Food Standardization.
